Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Bangladesh-based textile group Renaissance Group is exploring opportunities to place orders with Uzbek enterprises, establish joint ventures and implement investment projects in Uzbekistan, the Uztekstilprom Association said.

A meeting with representatives of Renaissance Group was held at the Uztekstilprom Association to discuss prospects for producing finished garments and knitwear in Uzbekistan for subsequent export to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and European countries.

Representatives of the Bangladeshi group reviewed the production capacities and product ranges of Uzbek enterprises. During their visit, they toured several local production facilities to assess their capabilities and identify potential partners for placing orders.

In addition to order placement, the sides discussed prospects for establishing joint ventures in Uzbekistan and implementing new investment projects.

Renaissance Group was founded in 1999 and coordinates the operations of 12 textile enterprises. The group's annual export volume is US$400 million, and it employs around 25,000 people.
