Mirziyoyev Flies to Bishkek for SCO Summit

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev flew to Bishkek on 31 August at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov to attend a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and the SCO Plus meeting. The press service of the President of Uzbekistan said.

During the upcoming events, participants will discuss further development of cooperation within the SCO and ways to improve the organisation’s activities.

Particular attention will be paid to prospects for international and regional cooperation.

While in Bishkek, Mirziyoyev will also hold a number of bilateral meetings with heads of foreign delegations.

In addition, the Uzbek president will attend the opening ceremony of the sixth World Nomad Games.
