Ilham Aliyev arrives in Bukhara on state visit to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and his wife arrived in Bukhara as part of his state visit to Uzbekistan. They were welcomed at Bukhara International Airport by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his wife, the Uzbek presidential press service said.

A formal welcome ceremony was held at the airport, featuring national songs of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan as well as traditional dances.

During their stay in Bukhara, the two presidents are scheduled to visit historical monuments in the ancient city. They will also be briefed on the activities of industrial enterprises.

Aliyev’s visit to Bukhara is part of his state visit to Uzbekistan.
