Mirziyoyev Briefed on Uzbekneftegaz H1 2026 Results

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been presented with a report on the performance of Uzbekneftegaz JSC for the first half of 2026 and the company's priority tasks through the end of the year.

During the report, it was noted that the enterprise produced 11.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas over the six-month period. Output of crude oil, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, and liquefied gas exceeded forecast targets.

By the end of the year, Uzbekneftegaz plans to produce 1.1 million metric tons of gasoline, 983,000 tons of diesel fuel, 310,000 tons of aviation kerosene, 606,000 tons of liquefied gas, and about 1.18 million tons of synthetic products.

Special attention was given to supplying the domestic market with aviation kerosene. Due to an increase in air flights through Central Asia, demand for this type of fuel is expected to reach 375,000 tons in July–December, which is 27 percent higher than in the same period last year. Most of the demand is planned to be covered by domestic oil refineries. At the same time, due to export restrictions on petroleum products in several partner countries, imports of aviation kerosene have been arranged from alternative sources, including Georgia, Iraq, and other nations.

Plans to modernize Uzbekgeofizika JSC were also presented to the president. US$38.8 million has been allocated to upgrade equipment for well geophysical surveys and acquire a modern 3D seismic exploration complex.

In addition, progress was reported on a joint project with US company Schlumberger to establish a seismic data processing center. Plans for the center include installing a modern supercomputer system, implementing new software, and expanding the use of artificial intelligence technologies in seismic surveys.

The implementation of these projects is expected to increase annual 3D seismic survey coverage from 1,800 to 5,000 square kilometers, survey depth from 4,500 to 8,000 meters, and the number of prepared prospective geological structures from 19 to 30.

During the meeting, measures were also considered to introduce high-temperature and high-pressure resistant materials in well construction, ultrasonic logging technologies, real-time geophysical monitoring, and horizontal drilling to enhance field development efficiency.

Following the report, Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed officials to take measures to ensure a stable and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products to the population and economic sectors, as well as to ensure technological upgrades at industry enterprises, improve energy efficiency, reduce production costs, and maintain strict control over the implementation of planned measures.
