Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Three new bus routes are planned to connect Tashkent with the Tashkent and Zangiata districts of Tashkent Region.

To operate the routes, Keles Renesans LLC will purchase 54 buses from Chinese manufacturer ZHONGTONG, the Tashkent Main Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure Development reported.

A supply contract has been signed and initial payments have been made. The buses are expected to arrive by the end of November 2026.

The buses will be allocated among the three routes based on passenger demand.

All three routes will terminate at the bus station serving Chorsu shopping centre. Route No. 162 will connect Chorsu with the Kuskundi mahalla, Route No. 163 will serve the Tukimachilar mahalla, and Route No. 167 will link the station with the Tashkent Kolkhoz area.

Route No. 163 will pass through the Tukimachi, Nazarbek and Tarnov mahallas. Buses will also operate along Shifobakhsh Suvlar and Beruni streets.

The department expects the new routes to reduce bus waiting times and ease pressure on existing services. They are also intended to improve transport links between the suburban districts and the capital.
