Maqom theater opens in Margilan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Government resolution established the Margilan City Theater of Musical Maqom in the form of a state institution at the Center for Uzbek National Art of Maqom.

The theater, among other things, will contribute to the promotion of the art of maqom through highly artistic productions, theatrical performances and concert programs.

As stated in the resolution, master classes will be held for the creative staff of the maqom theater with the involvement of qualified specialists from the state theaters of the republic.
