Latvian envoy holds negotiations at Uzbek Foreign Ministry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to Uzbekistan Igors Apokins held a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The press service of the Ministry said that Uzbekistan and Latvia created solid agreement-legal base for cooperation, which allow to look to future with optimism.

The sides are holding regular political consultations and Intergovernmental commission on economic, industrial and scientific-technical cooperation is operating. Currently, there are 23 enterprises with Latvian businesses, of which three are with 100% Latvian capital.

In cultural-humanitarian sphere, theatres and higher educational establishments of Uzbekistan and Latvia established direct contacts.

During the meeting, the sides considered other issues of bilateral and multilateral relations of mutual interest.
