Uzbekistan, US Discuss Legal Cooperation Expansion

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Justice Akbar Tashkulov held talks with partner at international law firm White & Case and Chair of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Caroline Lamm.

The discussions focused on the current state and prospects for the development of legal cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States.

The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in international investment arbitration and discussed current trends in the legal services market.

Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in legal education. This included the organisation of seminars, masterclasses, and internships for students and young professionals specialising in international arbitration and investment law.

The sides also reviewed prospects for further development of legal cooperation, exchange of experience, and joint initiatives in the legal field.

The meeting was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere.
