Korean MP, Youngone Holding chairman visit Uzbek Foreign Ministry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the MP of National Assembly of Korea Kim Yong Gu and Youngone Holding chairman Gi Hak Sung on 8 June 2011.

The sides discussed perspectives of the Uzbek-Korean cooperation, first of all in trade-economic sector, the press service of the Uzbek Ministry said.

Bilateral trade turnover between Uzbekistan and South Korea grew by 31% year-on-year in 2010 to US$1.6 billion. Total volume of announced investments from Korea to Uzbekistan exceeded US$5 billion.

During the meeting, the sides also exchanged opinion on concrete directions and projects of investment cooperation in Uzbekistan.
