Kazakh leader ratifies CIS security bloc’s troops deployment accord
The purpose of the agreement is to legally regulate the bases of operational deployment and use of the collective forces of rapid reaction of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
The agreement was signed in Minsk on 23 June 2006, Interfax-Kazakhstan news agency reported.
The CSTO comprises Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
