Japan to provide US$566,000 grants to Uzbekistan

The Government of Japan will provide a grant for US$566,000 to realization of 11 projects in Uzbekistan.
The grants will be allocated within the programme of no-string aid to grass-root projects.
Representatives of Uzbekistan and Japan signed grant agreements in Tashkent on 1 March. The resources will be directed to implementation of projects in medicine, education and aid to people with disabilities.
According to Embassy of Japan, in 1995-2015, Japan provided US$23.38 million to 352 projects within the programe to medical and educational institutions, local bodies and NGOs of Uzbekistan.
