Islam Karimov discusses fighting terrorism with Security Council members

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov held a meeting of the Security Council of Uzbekistan on 27 July 2016.

Heads of the government and relevant agencies attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the participants discussed issues of ensuring security and neutralizing threats and challenges on the southern borders of Uzbekistan.

They also considered issues of strengthening cooperation with neighboring states in the region to combat terrorism and extremism.
