Interest in Uzbekistan grows on Alibaba’s Fliggy platform

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Negotiations on promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential through the Fliggy online platform, part of Alibaba Group, were held during the ITB China international tourism exhibition in China.

Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee Abdulaziz Akkulov met with Fliggy Vice President Li Yang at the country’s national pavilion.

During the talks, the parties noted growing interest in Uzbekistan among users of the platform.

According to the data presented, interest in travel destinations in Uzbekistan increased by 40% in 2025.

It was also reported that more than 20,000 Chinese tourists purchased tours to Uzbekistan through the service.

The parties discussed further measures to increase tourist flows from China to Uzbekistan and to more actively promote the country’s tourism potential through digital platforms.

In addition, agreements were reached to expand the participation of Uzbekistan’s tourism businesses on the Fliggy platform, develop joint marketing programs, and organize training seminars for entrepreneurs in the tourism sector.
