IMF: Uzbekistan’s GDP to grow by 5% in 2016

International Monetary Fund (IMF) lowered its forecast on the growth of economy of Uzbekistan by two percentage points – to 5%, the IMF’s World Economic Outlook said.
In October 2015, the IMF forecasted that the growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan at the level of 7%.
According to the IMF report, the growth of Uzbekistan’s GDP will make up 5.5% in 2017.
IMF forecasted that inflation in Uzbekistan will make up 8% in 2016 against 8.4% in 2015. The inflation level will make up 9.8% in 2017.
Current account balance will make up 0.2% to GDP in 2016 and 0.5% to GDP in 2017.
