IMF keeps Uzbekistan economic growth forecast for 2016

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) kept its forecast of the growth of Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) in 2016 at the level of 7%, the review of regional economic perspectives, published by the IMF, said.

According to the report, economy of Uzbekistan will grow by 6.8% in 2015. The IMF said that the inflation rate will make up 9.7% in 2015 and 9.2% in 2016.

Current account of Uzbekistan will be at the level of 0.2% in 2015 and 0.3% 2016 compared to 1.7% in 2014, the IMF’s report said.
