IMF keeps Uzbekistan economic growth forecast for 2016

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) kept its forecast of the growth of Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) in 2016 at the level of 7%, the review of regional economic perspectives, published by the IMF, said.
According to the report, economy of Uzbekistan will grow by 6.8% in 2015. The IMF said that the inflation rate will make up 9.7% in 2015 and 9.2% in 2016.
Current account of Uzbekistan will be at the level of 0.2% in 2015 and 0.3% 2016 compared to 1.7% in 2014, the IMF’s report said.
