Uzbek Foreign Minister Meets Outgoing German Ambassador

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held a farewell meeting with Germany's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan, Manfred Huterer, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in the country.

Saidov announced the outcome of the meeting on his Telegram channel.

According to the foreign minister, the two sides noted that during Huterer's tenure in Uzbekistan, high-level meetings were successfully organized, dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries was strengthened, and the multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Germany reached a new level.

Saidov thanked the ambassador for his contribution to the development of bilateral relations and wished him success in his future professional activities.

Huterer presented his credentials to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on 20 September 2024. He succeeded Tilo Klinner, who served as Germany's ambassador to Uzbekistan from 2021 to 2024.
