iFLYTEK Opens Regional Office for Central Asia in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Chinese technology company iFLYTEK has officially opened its regional office for Central Asia in Tashkent and launched the iFLYTEK Open Platform. The ceremony took place during the iFLYTEK Open Platform Central Asia Launch Event, which was attended by representatives of government agencies, international companies, the IT industry, and foreign guests.
Prior to the official opening, the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, reviewed an exhibition of the company's latest developments in the field of artificial intelligence. iFLYTEK Senior Vice President Richard Yu presented the Spark large language model, multilingual artificial intelligence technologies, speech recognition and synthesis solutions, AI products for business, and the open platform for developers. He also outlined the projects the company intends to implement in Central Asia.
Speaking at the ceremony, Shermatov stated that the development of the digital economy and artificial intelligence is among the key national priorities of Uzbekistan. According to him, the ongoing reforms contribute to economic growth, improve the investment climate, and strengthen the country's positions in international rankings. He also emphasized that the republic is consistently developing its infrastructure and innovation ecosystem, aiming to become a regional hub for leading global technology companies.
The minister welcomed iFLYTEK's decision to locate its regional open platform specifically in Uzbekistan, noting that this project will create additional opportunities for domestic technology companies, startups, and software developers, as well as contribute to the development of the artificial intelligence ecosystem in Central Asia.
The Vice President of iFLYTEK Open Platform, William Zhou, presented the company's latest achievements in artificial intelligence.
He noted that the Spark large language model, launched in 2023, is currently applied in education, healthcare, the financial sector, telecommunications, the automotive industry, and other fields. According to him, the open platform will expand access to artificial intelligence technologies, strengthen cooperation with the developer community, and create a sustainable innovation ecosystem in the region.
At the conclusion of the event, the company introduced new products and solutions tailored for the Central Asian market, including multilingual AI technologies, intelligent AI agents, AI-powered digital services, and new capabilities of the open platform for developers.
Earlier, iFLYTEK announced its choice of Tashkent as the location for its regional office, which will coordinate the company's operations across Central Asian countries.
