Hector Cuper to manage Uzbekistan national team

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Argentinian specialist Hector Cuper has been named the new head coach of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Football Association said in a statement.

The Association said that the official unveiling ceremony of new coach will be held in Tashkent on 6 August 2018.

Cuper has been handed a contract through to the 2022 finals in Qatar as Uzbekistan attempt to secure a place at the tournament for the first time.

Cuper was coach of Egypt and helped the nation qualify for the World Cup in Russia.
