German Tourist Arrivals in Uzbekistan Rise 48.9%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan received 5,200 citizens of Germany for tourism purposes in January–March 2026, marking an increase of 1,700 people compared to the same period last year, according to the National Committee on Statistics.
The growth amounted to 48.9%, the agency reported. The committee did not specify the reasons behind the increase but provided a breakdown of travel purposes.
Tourism accounted for the majority of visits. A total of 4,336 German citizens entered Uzbekistan for tourism purposes.
In addition to tourism, visits were recorded for family reasons, official and business trips, as well as education and medical treatment.
According to the statistics, 393 people visited Uzbekistan to see relatives, 414 arrived for official purposes, and 44 for commercial activities. Another 37 German citizens came for education, while four individuals visited for medical services.
