French envoy holds talks at State Geology Committee

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Jacques-Henry Heuls met with the acting chairperson of the State Committee of Uzbekistan on geology and mineral resources on 6 January 2014.

During the meeting, the sides considered current state of mining industry in Uzbekistan and opportunities for cooperation with France in the sphere, the press service of the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan said.

It was noted that the projects, implemented in Uzbekistan, currently are directed at increasing mining and processing of the mineral resources of the country. Development of mining sector is directed at increasing export and supporting growth of national industry.
