Uzbekistan-China Think Tank Forum Opens in Shanghai

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan-China “10+10” Forum of Leading Think Tanks has opened in Shanghai under the theme “A New Stage in Uzbekistan-China Relations: Shared Vision and Shared Future,” according to the Center for Foreign Policy Studies and International Initiatives.

The event is organized by the Shanghai Academy of Global Governance and Area Studies at Shanghai University of International Studies in cooperation with Uzbekistan’s Development Strategy Center.

The forum has brought together representatives of leading think tanks, experts and academic circles from both countries to discuss key issues of bilateral cooperation, ongoing reforms, trade and economic interaction, diplomatic relations and prospects for the further development of Uzbekistan-China ties.

Valijon Khoshimov, Deputy Director of the Center for Foreign Policy Studies, is participating in the forum.

During the discussions, participants are examining priority areas of cooperation within the China-Central Asia format, issues related to strengthening expert dialogue, expanding people-to-people exchanges and developing institutional cooperation between think tanks in Uzbekistan and China.

The forum’s outcomes are expected to contribute to the development of new initiatives aimed at further deepening the strategic partnership, expanding scientific and expert cooperation, and strengthening mutual understanding between the two countries.
