Uzbekistan drops to 60th in updated FIFA rankings

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Uzbekistan national football team has taken 60th place in the updated FIFA world rankings, sliding down 10 positions following the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Despite the slip in the global standings, the national team successfully preserved its status as the highest-ranked side in Central Asia. In the revised list, regional peers are positioned lower: Tajikistan occupies 101st place, Kyrgyzstan is at 106th, Kazakhstan stands at 111th, and Turkmenistan trails at 141st.

Within the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the White Wolves currently hold the seventh position.

The comprehensive FIFA ranking features 211 national teams. Freshly crowned 2026 World Cup champions Spain secured the top spot globally, whereas San Marino remains anchored at the bottom of the table.

During its debut campaign at the 2026 World Cup, Uzbekistan was eliminated during the group stages after finishing fourth in Group K. The team suffered consecutive losses against Colombia (1-3), Portugal (0-5), and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (1-3).
