Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 16 October 2024, the first Retail and E-Commerce Forum took place in Tashkent as part of the International E-Commerce and Retail Forum "Central Asia Retail Week," organized with the support of the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade.
The forum gathered over 1,500 participants, including business delegations from nine countries, highlighting the significant interest in Uzbekistan's rapidly developing market and the region as a whole. Khurram Teshabayev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, was one of the speakers.
In recent years, the volume of retail trade in Uzbekistan has exceeded $25.5 billion, reflecting stable economic growth and increasing international cooperation.
Participants discussed key areas, including the modernization of logistics infrastructure, deepening cooperation among manufacturers in the CIS countries, and the implementation of new technologies in retail, such as artificial intelligence and geomarketing.
The forum served as a unique platform for experience exchange and business networking, focusing on creating long-term partnerships and discussing new initiatives in retail and e-commerce.
