Ferghana region and Japan discuss fruit and vegetable exports
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The governor of the Ferghana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, held meetings in Tokyo with representatives of Tokyo Seika Trading Co., Ltd. and Toyo Trans Incorporation during a working visit, focusing on prospects for expanding cooperation in agricultural exports.
The main attention during the talks was given to the supply of fruits and vegetables and other agricultural products from the Ferghana region to the Japanese market. The sides also considered opportunities for product processing, storage, and the development of modern logistics chains.
During the meetings, Japanese partners were provided with information on the region’s agricultural potential, including export-oriented production and the development of related infrastructure. Company representatives expressed interest in supplies and noted their readiness to establish systematic cooperation mechanisms.
It was noted that Japanese companies operating in trade and logistics plan to expand the presence of agricultural products from Uzbekistan in the Japanese market.
Following the talks, the sides signed an agreement aimed at strengthening mutual cooperation and developing the region’s export potential.
