Afghan Business Delegation Explores Opportunities at Angren Tire Plant

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation of Afghan entrepreneurs operating in the automotive trade sector visited the joint venture LLC "Birinchi Rezinotexnika Zavodi" in Angren, Tashkent Region, to learn about its production capabilities and discuss prospects for expanding cooperation.

During the visit, guests were shown modern production equipment, the full manufacturing cycle for automotive tires, and the plant's active quality control system. Representatives of the Afghan business community were also briefed on the factory's technical capabilities and product lineup.

As noted during the meeting, Birinchi Rezinotexnika Zavodi is the first and only manufacturer of automotive tires in Uzbekistan. The plant's annual capacity allows for the production of up to 3 million car tires, 200,000 tires for agricultural equipment, and 100,000 linear meters of conveyor belts.

The parties discussed potential supplies of Uzbek tires to the Afghan market, expanding commercial cooperation, developing a dealership network, and strengthening industrial partnership ties.

Following the visit, participants noted that the meeting marked another step toward broadening practical interaction between the business communities of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, boosting export deliveries, and establishing new commercial partnerships.
