Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution titled "On Additional Measures for the Socio-Economic Development of the City of Tashkent in 2026–2027," introducing new mechanisms to bring unused state property into entrepreneurial activity.

Starting 1 August 2026, the Khokim of Tashkent will have the authority to issue individual decisions supporting small business entities registered with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry operating in manufacturing and service sectors.

In accordance with the document, such entrepreneurs may be granted vacant state-owned buildings and structures free of charge for terms of up to 10 years. An obligatory condition is that entrepreneurs undertake repairs and equip the facilities using their own funds.

Additionally, small business entities will be able to implement investment projects on vacant land plots measuring up to 1,500 square meters.

Upon completion of construction and transfer of the newly built facility to state ownership, the land plot may be provided to the entrepreneur free of charge for a term of up to 15 years.

As noted in the resolution, the new measures aim to integrate unused state property into economic circulation, support small businesses, and expand manufacturing and service activities across the capital.
