Uzbekneftegaz Targets Higher Gas Production in August

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekneftegaz has declared August and September as months dedicated to increasing natural gas production, setting out the objective during a regular working meeting chaired by the company's Chairman Aziz Sanginov. The announcement was made by Uzbekneftegaz.

The meeting reviewed measures to increase gas output, improve field operations, modernize production infrastructure and enhance working conditions for employees.

The company's management instructed teams to upgrade field operation systems, improve the reliability of power supply at production facilities, modernize transformer equipment, replace insulators and ensure the efficient operation of gas-powered generating units.

Particular attention was given to implementing the August gas production plan. Scheduled activities were reviewed for each 10-day period, as well as for individual fields and wells.

According to the company, 27 new wells are scheduled to be commissioned in August.

Uzbekneftegaz was also instructed to improve the efficiency of its well stock, accelerate major and routine repairs, clearly define areas of responsibility and work with Chinese research institutes to improve well repair technologies.

Following a review of shortcomings in implementing the company's 2026 targeted and investment programs, management instructed divisions to begin preparing the 2027 programs. Priorities include improving project planning, accelerating 3D seismic surveys, developing an exploration program, ensuring the timely implementation of projects on new blocks, preventing construction delays and strengthening material and technical support.

To ensure drilling projects are completed on schedule, the company was instructed to speed up deliveries of imported equipment, prepare the required road and engineering infrastructure in advance and deploy additional machinery.

The meeting concluded that introducing modern technologies, expanding the use of automated management systems, ensuring the efficient operation of modern equipment and further improving production efficiency remain the company's key priorities.

The meeting also reviewed working conditions at production facilities in the Ustyurt region, which were described as unsatisfactory. Management instructed the company to carry out major repairs to workers' dormitories, provide employees with protective clothing and bring living conditions in line with modern standards.

A new dormitory in Ustyurt is scheduled to be commissioned by 25 August, while dormitories at the Kokdumalak, Pamuk and Alan fields are to be fully renovated by the end of the year.

The meeting also instructed all company divisions to ensure thorough preparations for celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence.
