Fed Cup: Uzbekistan loses third match in a row

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national led by captain Dmitriy Tomoshevich lost third match in a row in subgroup B of the Group 1 Asia/Oceania of Fed Cup.

Today, Uzbekistan lost to neighbors Kazakhstan with the score 2-1. As previous match, Akgul Amanmuradova won an only match against Galina Voskoboeva – 6/3 and 6/4.

Youngster Nigina Abduraimova was defeated by Sesil Karatantcheva in straight sets – 6/2 and 6/2.

In pair match, Kazakhstan’s Shvedova and Voskoboeva beat Amanmuradova and Khabibulina with the score 6/4 and 7/6.

Tomorrow, Uzbekistan will face Indonesia, who occupied last place in subgroup A. The winner will retain its place in Group 1, while loser will move to Group 2.
