EBRD: Uzbekistan’s economy to grow by 7.7% in 2013

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) raised its forecast on economic growth of Uzbekistan for 2013.

According to the report “Regional Economic Prospects in EBRD Countries of Operations”, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan will grow by 7.7% in 2013. In May 2013, the bank forecasted that economy of Uzbekistan will grow by 7.5% this year.

The bank said that Uzbekistan’s economy will grow by 7% in 2014 as it forecasted in May 2013.

The bank’s experts said that the inflation level in Uzbekistan will make up 11% in 2013 against 12.1% in 2013. The forecast did not change.
