Earthquake shakes Uzbek capital

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An earthquake struck southeast Uzbekistan on Friday, 6 December 2013, the European-Mediterranean seismic center reported.

According to the center, magnitude of the earthquake, which was registered at 15:24 Tashkent time, was 5.

The epicenter was in Tajikistan, some 112 km away to south-east of Tashkent city and 15 km from Shaydona (Tajikistan).

Tashkent seismic station said that the power of tremors in Tashkent city was about 3 points.
