Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The number of casualties from the devastating earthquake in Myanmar continues to rise, surpassing 3,000 people.

According to the latest data from the Xinhua News Agency, the death toll has reached 3,003, with 4,515 injured and 351 people listed as missing.

Earlier, the number of fatalities was reported at 2,886, but the scale of the disaster has proven to be much more severe.

Myanmar's authorities declared a week of national mourning on 31 March in response to the tragic events. Rescue operations and efforts to assist the victims are ongoing.
