Denis Istomin faces Chardy, Amanmuradova to play against Kristina Barrois

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan will face 32nd seed Jeremy Chardy of France in the first round of the Australian Open’s men draw.

Uzbekistan’s Denis Istomin have been granted a wildcard for the Australian Open last year and reached the second round of the tournament.

In 2009, Denis Istomin was beaten by Richard Gasquet of France in straight sets 6/3 6/4 and 6/4.

In women’s draw, Akgul Amanmuradova of Uzbekistan will face Kristina Barrois of Germany. In 2009, Amanmuradova also reached the second round of tournament and lost to Spain’s Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez 6/2 and 6/4.
