Portugal, DR Congo Draw 1–1 at World Cup 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Portugal national football team and DR Congo national football team played out a 1–1 draw in their opening Group K match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The match was held in Houston, Texas.

Portugal took the lead in the 6th minute through João Neves. DR Congo equalized in first-half stoppage time, with Yoane Wissa scoring in the 45+5th minute.

Both teams are competing in Group K alongside Uzbekistan national football team and Colombia national football team. Their head-to-head match is scheduled for the night of 18 June, local time.

In the next round, Portugal will face Uzbekistan on 23 June. DR Congo will play Colombia on the night of 24 June.
