Denis Istomin downed by Dominic Thiem in St Petersburg

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin completed his participation in St.Petersburg Open in Saint Petersburg (Russia).

In the quarterfinals Istomin lost to Dominic Thiem of Austria in straight sets with the score 6:2 and 7:5.

The match lasted an hour and 15 minutes. Istomin recorded five aces against ten of Thiem. Both players committed two double faults. Thiem registered three break points.
