Day of Slovakia takes place in UWED

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting with the Ambassador of Slovak Republic to Uzbekistan Pavol Ivan was held at the University of World Languages and Diplomacy within the Day of Slovakia on 17 December 2013, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between two states.

During the meeting, the Slovak envoy briefed the participants on expanding the Uzbek-Slovak relations in political, trade-economic and cultural relations, as well as perspective directions on further cooperation.

The diplomat also talked about social-economic development of Slovakia, which this year marks its 20th anniversary of independence, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

Envoy also presented a photo exhibition, dedicated to significant dates.
