Spark With 344 Unpaid Traffic Fines Detained in Angren
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Officers of Uzbekistan’s Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement (BCE) have identified a persistent traffic offender in the city of Angren, Tashkent Region.
During targeted search operations conducted by the regional department of the agency, authorities located a Chevrolet Spark whose owner had accumulated a record number of unpaid traffic penalties, Daryo reported, citing the BCE press service.
A review of official records showed that the vehicle owner had been issued a total of 344 administrative citations for repeated and serious traffic violations.
The total amount of the fines exceeded 175 million soums.
Because the offender failed to settle the debt within the voluntary payment period established by law, all enforcement documents were transferred to the compulsory enforcement authorities.
Authorities have now initiated the necessary legal procedures to recover the outstanding debt.
The Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement stated that if the owner fails to fully repay the debt, measures provided by law will be taken, including the seizure of property and the sale of the detained Spark through a public electronic auction.
