China to host next summit of SCO leaders in 2012

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Next session of the Council of the heads of states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held in China in 2012, the information communiqué of the organization said

The document said that in line with the SCO Charter China will assume rotating presidency in the organization for next period

The SCO member states supported proposal of the Chinese side to announce the period of Chinese presidency in the organization as The Year of Good Neighbourhood and Friendship.
