Children to be vaccinated against pneumococcal disease

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Children at the age of 2-3 months and one year will receive a vaccine against pneumococcal infection from September 2015.

At the same time, from April 2016, Uzbekistan is planning to start to vaccinate children against polio of the second type.

The polio vaccine of the second type will be injected to all children under the age of four months.

It should be noted that currently according to the national vaccination calendar children in Uzbekistan are vaccinated against 11 infectious diseases.
