CEC registers observation missions of CIS and OSCE/ODIHR

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan registered observation missions of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) for the presidential elections in the country.

The session of the CEC chaired by its chairman Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov adopted corresponding decisions on 21 February.

The press service of the CEC said that the commission invited large number of observers from Europe, Asia, America and Africa, as well as observation missions from international organizations to participate in upcoming presidential elections, which will be held on 29 March.

Currently, the main part of OSCE/ODIHR observation mission, which includes 12 persons, arrived in Uzbekistan.
