Uzbekistan President Meets Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, who arrived in Tashkent to participate in the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF-2026).
At the beginning of the meeting, the Russian prime minister conveyed greetings and best wishes from President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the President of Uzbekistan.
The sides reviewed the implementation of previously reached high-level agreements within the framework of Uzbekistan–Russia relations, which continue to develop in the format of strategic partnership and alliance.
It was noted that trade turnover between the two countries has demonstrated steady growth, increasing by 20% since the beginning of the current year. Large-scale joint projects continue to be implemented in energy, metallurgy, and other priority sectors of the economy.
Special attention was paid to measures aimed at maintaining positive dynamics in trade and economic cooperation, as well as supporting and expanding industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia.
During the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of further developing regional-level cooperation and expanding cultural and educational exchange programs between the two countries.
