Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from Belarus’ Minsk Region, led by Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Alexey Kushnarenko, visited major industrial enterprises and investment infrastructure facilities in Ferghana Region during a practical working visit, the Ferghana regional administration said.
The Belarusian delegation was accompanied by Deputy Governor of Ferghana Region Khurshidjon Akhmedov.
As part of the visit, representatives of Minsk Region toured enterprises located within the Kuvasay branch of the Kokand Free Economic Zone. The guests were briefed on the companies’ operations and ongoing production projects.
In particular, the delegation visited the Crown Ceramic joint venture, which produces porcelain stoneware tiles, and familiarized itself with its production process.
The Belarusian representatives also visited Marwin Fruitline LLC, where they were shown a project for fruit processing and the production of concentrated natural juice.
The delegation was separately introduced to production processes at Hansae Mobility Turan, a company specializing in automotive components. The project has attracted US$30 million in foreign investment and created 150 jobs.
The next stop on the program was the Ferghana Expo investor service center, an exhibition complex in the city of Ferghana. The Belarusian representatives were briefed on the center’s capabilities in supporting investment projects and developing business ties.
