Anti-corruption agency structure approved

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A resolution of the President “On organization of the activities of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted.

According to the resolution, the maximum number of Agency management personnel has been established in the amount of 50 staff units (10 staff units are formed by reducing the staff of the Agency for the Development of the Civil Service, 40 due to the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor’s Office).

The director of the Agency for status, terms of remuneration, medical and transport services is equated with the minister, and deputy directors are equal to deputy ministers.

Deputy directors of the Agency are appointed and dismissed by the President on the proposal of the Director of the Agency.
