About 1.2bn soums invested to rehabilitate paper production in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan invested over 1.2 billion soums to rehabilitate production of writing paper at the Namangan Kogozi LLC. The production uses Russian raw material.

The enterprises changed spare parts of paper production equipment, electric engines, repaired electricity supply equipment, and modernized buildings.

Namangan Kogozi invested over 646 million soums for these purposes. Overall, capital investments into enterprise comprised 1.2 billion soums.

The company said it plans to record 200 million soums of net income by the end of 2009 and launch production of offset paper and thin cardboard.
