Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The international platform OncoDaily has published its ranking of the “100 Most Influential Women in Oncology,” featuring specialists and public figures shaping the global agenda in the fight against cancer.
The list includes the First Lady of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the international public foundation “Zamin,” Ziroat Mirziyoyeva.
According to the ranking organizers, her inclusion reflects her active work in promoting initiatives for the early detection and treatment of childhood cancers, developing international cooperation in pediatric oncology, and supporting the global movement to improve survival rates for children with serious illnesses.
It is noted that in September 2025, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva was the initiator and co-chair of a forum at the UN General Assembly titled “Global Movement to Improve Survival and Reduce Suffering of Children with Cancer and Other Life-Threatening Diseases,” organized jointly with the World Health Organization and St. Jude Hospital.
The event called for the expansion of international measures to ensure access to quality medical care for children, especially in countries with low survival rates.
The publication also emphasizes that the implementation of these initiatives strengthens Uzbekistan’s role in global health policy and aligns with international goals, including increasing childhood cancer survival rates to 60% by 2030.
