Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the work of a situation centre established at the administration of the Yoshlar student campus in Tashkent’s Almazar district.
The centre was established using digital technologies and is designed to comprehensively monitor safety and the social situation across the student campus in real time. The system also enables student attendance to be monitored and helps prevent offences.
The situation centre covers 41 student dormitories and helps ensure the safety of around 75,000 students, including 17,500 young men and women living in dormitories.
The centre is integrated with 17 information systems. Through a unified digital platform, specialists can promptly analyse various data and take necessary measures depending on the situation.
During the visit, the president was shown the system’s capabilities for monitoring safety and the social situation, as well as the principles behind the operation of the situation centre.
The president stressed the need for systematic engagement with students using the capabilities of the digital system and for promptly addressing issues affecting students. Officials were instructed to extend this experience to other student dormitories across the country.
The situation centre was established as part of the implementation of the resolution “On Additional Measures to Introduce a Comprehensive System of Targeted Work to Create a Safe Environment in the Mahallas of the Republic”, signed by the president on 5 January this year.
The administration building of the Yoshlar student campus, covering 1,368 square metres, was built in 2024. A total of 33 billion soums was allocated for the building’s major renovation, establishment of the situation centre and improvement of the surrounding area.
