Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held a videoconference with Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion Kamel Rezig on 10 September.

The participants discussed expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, developing industrial cooperation and increasing bilateral trade.

Particular attention was paid to organizing direct talks between representatives of the two countries on priority product categories.

The meeting also saw initiatives put forward to conclude a preferential trade agreement and establish an intergovernmental commission and an Uzbekistan-Algeria Business Council.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue joint work on the practical implementation of the agreements reached and turn the agreed initiatives into concrete projects.
