Xi Jinping Book Volume Five Presented in Astana

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The fifth volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" was presented in Astana at an event attended by representatives of government agencies, think tanks, universities, businesses, the publishing industry and media organisations from China and Kazakhstan.

Participants said the new volume reflects contemporary approaches to governance and China's development, while contributing to a deeper understanding of Chinese modernization and the country's current stage of development. The event also highlighted the importance of exchanging governance experience between China and Kazakhstan.

Yelnur Beisenbayev, Head of the Domestic Policy Department of the Administration of the President of Kazakhstan, said the presentation marked a new stage in humanitarian exchanges between the two countries. He said Kazakhstan continues to implement economic and social reforms and that the governance approaches outlined in the book are of interest to the country.

Askar Umarov, Director of the Central Communications Service under the President of Kazakhstan, highlighted China's achievements in the economy, science, technology, culture, the legal sphere and diplomacy. He said a deeper understanding of China's long-term goals contributes to the development of bilateral cooperation.

Gulnar Shaimergenova, Director of the China Studies Center, said that amid the transformation of the global order, China continues to play a leading role in global economic growth and remains an important factor in international stability. She noted that President Xi Jinping's books have been translated into dozens of languages and are used to study China's approaches to international cooperation and development.

During the event, the Chinese side presented its Kazakh partners with the fourth volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" in the Kazakh language and the fifth volume in Russian. Representatives of both countries also discussed practical cooperation, the development of the China-Kazakhstan partnership and the joint implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The presentation was organised by the State Council Information Office of China, the China International Communications Group and the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan. More than 200 representatives from China and Kazakhstan attended the event.
