Waste processing complex to be built in Tashkent region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan will build a complex for processing landfill gas into electricity. This was reported in the Ministry of Natural Resources of Uzbekistan.

The South Korean company Sejin G&E carries out the project in Tashkent region. Electricity will be produced from gas generated at the Akhangaran and Maidontol landfills.

The amount of direct investment in this project will be US$55 million.

It is expected that 16 MW generators and ancillary equipment will be installed at the landfills.
