Tashkent Region Approves New Public Transport Tariffs
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A new tariff system for public transport across cities in the Tashkent region has been approved by the local Kengash of People's Deputies.
Under the decision, single fare trips paid via transport or bank card will cost 2,000 soums. For cash payments, the fare is set at 2,600 soums, with the same amount charged for carrying one piece of luggage.
The updated system introduces various types of travel passes. Passengers can choose unlimited travel subscriptions for periods of 1, 7, 90, 180, or 365 days, as well as passes capped by trip count for 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 days.
Discounted tariffs are provided for pensioners, persons with disabilities, university students, and schoolchildren. In particular, an unlimited one-day pass for these categories will cost 4,000 soums instead of the standard 8,000 soums.
In addition, transport cardholders will have access to transfer tariffs included under the new fare payment scheme.
