Allied Biofuels Secures SAF Export Logistics Partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Allied Biofuels FE LLC has signed a logistics cooperation agreement with European multimodal transport operator Pro Logistic Services SIA to establish an international export infrastructure for supplying Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and synthetic aviation fuel (e-SAF) from its production facility in Uzbekistan to key markets in Europe, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.

The agreement was signed during the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum and marks a key stage in the project's commercial preparation by confirming the establishment of an international logistics system for future exports.

Under the agreement, Pro Logistic Services will develop and implement a comprehensive multimodal transport system, including specialized rail tank cars, port cargo handling, freight forwarding and maritime transportation.

The company operates an extensive international logistics network and is among the largest logistics operators in Eurasia. It manages a fleet of more than 4,000 rail wagons and has direct agreements with the national railway authorities of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Turkmenistan and Lithuania.

Pro Logistic Services has operational divisions in Latvia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, Cyprus and the United Arab Emirates, enabling it to provide end-to-end international logistics from the production site to the final customer.

Shipments to Gulf countries will use specialized rail tank cars departing from the Miskin railway station via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, also known as the Middle Corridor. The route will pass through Kazakhstan, across the Caspian Sea and through the Georgian ports of Poti and Batumi, where cargo will be transferred to sea tankers for delivery through the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sea and the Suez Canal to the Port of Fujairah and other ports in the United Arab Emirates.

Exports to Europe will be transported by rail from Miskin station to the Port of Riga, one of Pro Logistic Services' key logistics hubs. From there, the fuel will be shipped by sea to European ports, including Hamburg and other terminals.

The company said the location of Allied Biofuels' production complex and the existing transport network of its logistics partner provide additional advantages for the project's export strategy.

Development of the logistics infrastructure will proceed in parallel with engineering work, production planning and the conclusion of long-term fuel supply contracts. According to the company, this approach will ensure that future production volumes are supported by a scalable international distribution network.

Allied Biofuels Managing Director Alfred Benedict said the partnership with Pro Logistic Services reflects the project's advanced level of preparation and its international ambitions.

He said the partner's direct agreements with railway authorities, its fleet of specialized rail wagons and its long-standing experience along major transport corridors provide a reliable logistics platform for future SAF and e-SAF exports to global markets.

Natalya Tsoy, a member of the Board of Directors of Pro Logistic Services, said the company has been delivering complex international logistics projects across Eurasia for more than two decades.

She said the company's transport infrastructure, specialized rolling stock and presence along the entire export route would enable efficient links between Allied Biofuels' future production and aviation markets in Europe, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.

The Allied Biofuels project, with a total value of US$6.08 billion, is being implemented with state support under a separate decree issued by the President of Uzbekistan. The company previously signed a memorandum on long-term aviation fuel supplies with Uzbekistan Airports.

The agreement with Pro Logistic Services marks another step in building the project's commercial platform, covering the entire value chain from the production of sustainable aviation fuel in Uzbekistan to deliveries to airlines and strategic customers in international markets.
